What is the Career Technical Education Program?

The Career Technical Education High School Program allows students to receive technical career education and college credits while still enrolled in high school. Students receive credit toward high school graduation while learning hands-on technical career skills at an accredited post-secondary facility.

Classes are interactive and led by school instructors using real industry equipment. Career Technical Education Program students get a jump start on their career training and have a leg up after high school. No technical experience necessary.

Two Professional Paths to Choose From

As a MIAT High School Program student you can choose to pursue one of two career paths:

Aviation Technician

The MIAT Aviation Technology Course provides the hands-on training, practical experience and support from industry experts it takes to feel confident working on aircraft. Students that complete the 2 year program are eligible to test for their FAA Powerplant License.

Energy Technician

MIAT provides an Energy Technician Program which instructs students in the field of Power Generation including, but not limited to, Wind Power and Gas Turbine. The Energy industry is evolving and expanding rapidly. Now is an exciting time to break into this field.
